What are the i-Activsense® Safety Features?
Adaptive Front-Lighting System (AFS)
- Finding your way on Troy roads in the dark can be a bit of a challenge, but with AFS, drivers can use this feature to bend the headlights around the corner, illuminating what’s to come on your drive.
High-Beam Control (HBC)
- To get the most night-driving visibility, you’ll likely be taking advantage of your car’s high beams. The HBC system uses an advanced camera system that can recognize an oncoming or preceding vehicle in your general vicinity. This switches high and low beams, meaning you can get the best visibility without blinding drivers.
Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC)
- Mazda Radar Cruise Control is an advanced cruise control system that utilizes sonar to detect the distance between the front of your vehicle and the back of the vehicle in front of you. Then, the system automatically accelerates and brakes to give you the right amount of buffer space. This system also has Distance Recognition Support System (DRSS) which gives drivers in Albany the exact distance between their vehicle and the one in front of them.
Rear Vehicle Monitoring System (RVM)
- RVM uses radar to read the distance of vehicles behind you. You’ll get an audible and visual warning if the system detects an oncoming vehicle in a neighboring lane when your turn signal is on.
Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS)
- This Mazda lane keep assist system uses advanced cameras that can read lane markings to show your vehicle when it’s drifting out of its lane. It’ll send you a warning so you can keep your vehicle out of unsafe situations.
Forward Obstruction Warning (FOW)
- This is another radar-based system that can recognize when there’s a vehicle or obstruction directly in front of the vehicle. This allows you to brake immediately with a visual and audible alert.
Smart City Brake Support
- Smart City Brake Support automatically puts the brakes on when you’re driving at low speeds in the city to avoid or mitigate the impact of a head-on collision.
Acceleration Control for AT
- If you’ve got a Mazda vehicle that has an automatic transmission, this system automatically sends a warning to the driver if the accelerator is hit too hard when there’s an obstacle blocking you in Latham.
